We had a funeral service here for my grandfather. At first, it seemed it was going to be a beautiful experience since they had set up lawn chairs and a canopy next to where the burial was taking place. It started to sprinkle rain drops which really set the mood. However the lady that was running the show said we had to hurry since it was a little rainy and had her employees lower my grandfather into his grave and cut our service short, it was maybe 10 minutes total before they started to pack things up. I thought it was very rude of the staff to rush such an event. To top things off, they spelled my grandfather's name wrong on his headstone. Luckily they ended up fixing it, but it was a hassle to make things right.

The last time I visited that cemetery in 2009 it was kept up. I would hate to come down now to visit and find my aunts, uncles, grandparents and my father's grave to be I'd up. Vegas won't hear the last of it.

I am so disgusted with the complete lack of care, concern and empathy the City has for the resting place at Woodlawn. This is the final stop for the pioneers of Las Vegas and it is a disgrace. Trim around the grave stones, water the fricking grass, pull the weeds and pick up the trash. I’m tired of placing flowers at my sister’s grave, in the holder that I paid to have installed, only to visit again and find the flowers gone. Why do other graves have flowers intact? I specifically asked what needed to be done, and I complied by paying for the indwelling “vase “ and I have never been there when the flowers I left previously were still in place. What do our taxes pay for? Get it together and show some respect and humanity.

I passed by the cemetery everytime we head to the church on Bruce Street. Imagine at night where you encounter strange and horrifying things in there? Creepy!

This place was HORRIBLE.
Staff was not helpful or reasonable.

Some how the lack of planning accordingly becomes your problem.
Services get cut short because another service needs to start. And the people that are attending the first service get asked to move their vehicles because the next service is going to start.

This is an older cemetary but very well maintained and has beautiful old trees that provide great shade for the lush green grass there. The plots there are very reasonably priced and the office works with you to help you to find affordable payments that will fit your budget. Martha is a very pleasant, caring and courteous person who helped our family through a hard time in the loss of my step dad. Ok sometimes there are homeless people who come in the cemetary to get out of the hot sun because of the shade trees but my step dad Sonny never put anyone down for being down on their luck and was one who would give his last dollar to help a guy out that was on the streets. Im sure he and the other residents there at Woodlawn dont mind the company....

Cemetery runs for over 100 years. They have sections for veterans and mausoleums. Headstones are ranging from early 1800s to present. It is poorly maintained. There are full thrash cans. I saw water bottles, clothes, etc. In addition section for veterans is not maintained. Few U.S. flags are down and lawn is dead. Overall, my visit was okay.

I wouldn't bury my loved one here if they paid me! They don't keep up with the lawn it's yellow and looks horrible. I drive by here everyday frightened its full of homeless people and drug addicts that are either passed out or begging for money that sleep right in front of the cemetery the city doesn't care as long as they're not near the strip where the tourist are. So disrespectful something needs to be done!
